A Way To Save

Need Coffee?

Now is the time of year to drink a hot cup of coffee.  Instead of spending $3-$4 for specialty coffees at coffee shops, try to make your own!

Mint Lattes
Heat:
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup sugar
6 peppermint patties
2 cups strong brewed coffee

Add:
2 cups Half & Half Cream

Serve with whipped cream.  Serves 3
(May substitute peppermint patties with 1/4 cup caramel topping.)

Frappucino
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons Nestle Chocolate Mix (heaping)
2 tablespoons instant coffee
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons sugar
14-16 ice cubes
Mix in blender and enjoy!

frugal pal note: these recipes are not our own.  a friend recommended them from a blog.

Holiday Au Lait
2 cups hot brewed coffee
2 cups milk, heated
3/4 cup Pumpkin Spice or Gingerbread Flavor Neslte Coffee-Mate Liquid Creamer
1 tablespoon  vanilla
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Combine coffee, milk, Coffee-Mate, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.  Serve with whipped cream.

frugalpal note: This recipe printed with my Coffee-Mate coupon from coupons.com.  If you do not care for coffee, this is the recipe to try.  It has a very mild coffee flavor.  For a stronger coffee taste, add more coffee and less milk.
