Have you ever left your cookies on the pan too long or overbaked them?
Or maybe the children didn't put the lid back on the cookie container?
I have a solution. Don't throw them out! Just add a piece of bread! Now you can't use the crust, it must be a slice of bread. It softens them right up, good as new within a hour or so.
