Mountain View Bookstore

Did you know that the little town of Orrstown has a bookstore?  It is not a very big store, but has books from Christian publishers, such as Christian Light and Rod and Staff, among others.  They sell a few homeschooling books from Pathway Publishers, too.  It also has some handsewn items and decorative paper for making scrapbook pages.  It is called the Mountain View Bookstore, formerly Mt. Rock Bookstore.  It is located about 1/4 mile down from the Orrstown Bank.

Right now, they are having a 15% off sale until December 31, 2010.  Not a real big savings, but helpful in the long run.  The hours are-
Sunday-Monday: Closed
Tuesday-Friday: 8-5
Saturday: 9-12noon

I recieved a helpful hint from the clerk one day I was shopping there.  If you are interested in a newly released Christian Light Publication book, check for it there first.  It may be cheaper.  Why?  The owner recieves a small quantity of these for a reduced price.  The markup stays the same so the price of the book is less.  I thought this an interesting tidbit and a way to afford a good book.
